How do I import/export a policy?

It is good practice to make sure you backup your NetScope shaping/monitoring policies in case you want to return to previous versions you have created.

To export a policy:

• Select the ‘Policy Manager’ tab. A list of policies, which are currently stored within NetScope, will be presented.
• Use your mouse to select the policy you wish to export, then click the ‘Export’ button.
• Save your policy to your hard drive/network.

To import a policy:

• Select the ‘Policy Manager’ tab. A list of policies, which are currently stored within NetScope, will be presented.
• Select the ‘Import’ button. An open file box will display where you can navigate to your policy. Select ‘Open’ to import your policy. Your policy will now be shown in the ‘Policy Manager’ window as ‘ImportedPolicy’.
